Work on the Grounds – Closure of Church Car Park

As you will have seen, work on the grounds is proceeding and the visual improvement is beginning to take shape.

As previously advised, we had hoped to keep one of the routes to the car park open during the work.  However, due to extended work required around the area of each of the new bollards, this unfortunately has proved to be impossible both for practical and health and safety reasons.

Because of this, both the entrance and exit of the church car park will be closed to all non-construction vehicle traffic as from Thursday 27th October. This will require safety fencing along the entire frontage of the church grounds preventing any access via Brighton Road. We expect this closure to last up to three weeks.

Please note that the entrance into the Foyer will remain in operation.  Access will have to be either through the public car park or down the steps from Pampisford Road.  We realise that this will cause difficulty for some folks and apologise. There is however no alternative but to proceed in this manner and we appreciate your understanding and forbearance during this period.                 John Denison
