Lay Moderator of General Assembly visit

Visit of Lay Moderator of General Assembly

On 23rd November our morning worship will be led by Mr John Ellis, who is currently the Lay Moderator of the General Assembly of the URC. He has kindly also agreed to stay for a light lunch and a question and answer session afterwards. This is a rare opportunity to meet one of the Assembly Moderators and to find out more about what is happening in the wider URC, to ask questions and hear about current issues. We hope that many of you will be able to stay for lunch and discussion with John. We will provide soup and drinks but would ask you, please, to bring anything else you want to eat. We have also invited members of other URCs in the area to join us for lunch and the Q&A session. John Ellis has wide experience in many areas of church life. He has been an Accredited lay preacher for many years. A copy of his full CV is on the notice-board in the foyer.

There is also a list for you to add your names if you are able to stay for lunch as we will need to have an idea of numbers for the catering.

Please sign as soon as possible and at the latest by 16th November.
