Harvest Lunch

Please remember to fill in details of numbers and offers of food for Harvest lunch no later than 21 September. It would be appreciated if you could be specific about what you hope to contribute, so that we can provide for any shortfalls if necessary.

The Flower Arranging GroupThe Group would be pleased to receive flowers and/or foliage or a donation of money to help decorate the Church for Harvest Thanksgiving.  Please leave your flowers, etc. on Friday, 22nd September in the buckets of water placed in the Sanctuary.  Thank you!

Would you like to mark an anniversary by having flowers arranged for you on the Sunday nearest the special date?  If so, please speak to Margaret Morgans or any Flower Arranger (Anne Carrington, Isobel Gibson, Jean Hain, Joyce Milne, Sheila Smith, Alison Whittingham) and tell her how much you would like to spend and what colours you would like.  We would be happy to do this.

Scones and Songs

Purley & Kenley Churches Together ‘Scones and Songs’ will be held on Sunday 17 September 2017 at Purley URC. 4.15 pm: Tea and scones, followed by Songs of Praise. Please come and support this if you are able.

Whist Drive – Thank you to the Whist Drive players who raised £175.69 for Christian Aid on 2nd September.  The next Whist Drive will be held on Saturday, 17th March at 7 p.m. –  again to support Christian Aid.

Commitment for Life

As we hear news of hurricanes and earthquakes in the Caribbean, USA and Mexico, Commitment for Life has reminded us of the disastrous flooding in South East Asia with one-third of Bangladesh under water at one point. Christian Aid currently has a special appeal for donations to help the countries affected. For information go to
