Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

This year Purley and Kenley Churches Together is marking this Week of Prayer between Ascension Day (30th May) and Pentecost (9th June).

The theme is ‘Thy Kingdom Come’.

Two special events have been organised.

On Wednesday, 5th June at 9 pm, as part of a national initiative, you are invited to join in 15 minutes of prayer in the open air for the local community. People will gather in the car park at the front of our Church. Please join us if you can.

On Sunday 9th June there is a service which combines a United Service to end the week of prayer with the Annual Scones and Songs of Praise. The service is being held at St Barnabas Church, Higher Drive, who are celebrating their 60th anniversary that weekend. Tea will be served at 4.15 pm and the service will begin at 5 pm. This year one of the hymns to be sung has been chosen by one of the younger members of our congregation and she will welcome your support.

 All are welcome.
