A ground-floor bed-sitting room and a first-floor flat-let – each with an en-suite bathroom – are available for immediate occupation at Abbeyfield Purley’s friendly sheltered house for older people close to Purley town centre. The rent is £280 a week for the single room and £405 for the two-room flat-let – it includes all bills (except personal telephone), plus lunch and supper each day cooked by the live-in house manager, who also keeps an eye on residents’ wellbeing. The 10-room house, in Purley Knoll, offers care and companionship in homely, well-maintained accommodation, with a new conservatory and a lovely garden to sit out in. Temporary respite care is also available after a stay in hospital or to cover carers’ holidays or illness.
