A group of 4 set off from Gatwick to fly to Boston USA full of anticipation of beginning our Partnership adventure. We will be staying in Boston for a few days before travelling a few hours down to Hartford where our Partnership Conference will begin. Every three years our Partnership Churches gather together and this year our friends in Hartford are our hosts.
The conference theme is “Make a Joyful Noise – the Divine in and through Music.” and people from the USA, Germany, the UK and the Czech Republic will come together from Saturday, 27 July to Sunday 4th August for a time of reflection, fellowship and to have a great time renewing friendships.

Spent a very enjoyable day seeing some of the historical sites of Boston, including the harbour and the ‘Boston Tea Party’. Boston Park has plenty of tame squirrels, small birds, including the American robin and impressive statues of important historical figures from America’s struggle for independence.
In the evening we met up with other members of our party, including 2 Czech friends, and enjoyed a meal together in one of the really nice eating establishments in town.
More to follow………..
