Christian Aid and Purley United Reformed Church

Christian Aid and Purley United Reformed Church share a committed and long‑standing partnership. Together, we work to challenge poverty, support communities in crisis, and stand for justice across the world. Our congregation takes an active role in fundraising, prayer, and awareness‑raising throughout Christian Aid Week and across the year.

Christian Aid Week

Each May, our church community comes together to raise funds and highlight Christian Aid’s vital work around the world.

Appeals Throughout the Year

We support Christian Aid’s emergency appeals and long‑term development projects whenever urgent needs arise.

Local Engagement

Volunteers from Purley URC help organise collections, events, and awareness activities that connect our local community with global justice.

Why Christian Aid?

Christian Aid works in more than 30 countries, supporting people living in poverty, responding to emergencies, and campaigning for justice. As a church, we are proud to stand alongside Christian Aid in their mission to create a world where everyone can live a full life, free from poverty.
