Meet Our Minister – Revd. Russell Furley-Smith
Russell has been our Minister since January 2005 and he is a key member of our church community, bringing an all inclusive leadership style which has enriched the life of the church and community throughout the years.
Background and Training
Russell was born and brought up in Putney, in South London, and studied history at Edinburgh University and trained at Manchester College to become a Minister.
Ministry Experience
Russell served church communities in Billericay, Essex, West Wickham and Elmers End in South London before he started his ministry with us at Purley. Russell supports the wider work of the United Reformed Church.
Family
Russell is married to Nicola and they have two sons, Cameron and Ross.
