Purley United Reformed Church is proud to support Commitment for Life, the URC’s long‑standing global justice initiative. Through this programme, churches across the denomination stand alongside communities working for peace, justice, and sustainable development.
Churches decide which of the three regions they would like to focus on; Bangladesh, Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory; or Zimbabwe.
What Commitment for Life Supports
Commitment for Life partners with Christian Aid and Global Justice Now, focusing on long‑term work in four key regions around the world.
Our Focus at PURC is currently with Bangladesh
Supporting climate resilience, women’s empowerment, and sustainable livelihoods.
Currently our focus here at Purley URC is on the country of Bangladesh, which is in South Asia, with a population of 178 million people.
